What is the best time to visit Amritsar from Malaysia? The best time is October to March — when the weather across Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Amritsar is cool and very pleasant. This is a welcome contrast from Malaysia's year-round tropical heat! November to February is particularly popular for Malaysian visitors. Avoid April to June (extreme heat in northern India) and July to September (monsoon season).
-
Is the Golden Temple open to non-Sikh / non-Hindu visitors?Yes — the Golden Temple welcomes visitors of all faiths, nationalities and backgrounds, 24 hours a day. Visitors are asked to cover their head (scarves are available at the entrance) and remove their shoes before entering. The temple also offers the famous Langar (free community meal) to all visitors, regardless of religion or background — a beautiful expression of Sikh values of equality and service.
-
What is the Wagah Border ceremony and is it suitable for families? The Wagah Border Beating Retreat ceremony is a daily military flag-lowering ritual held at the only road border crossing between India and Pakistan. It is a spectacular show of high kicks, precision marching and patriotic energy that draws thousands of spectators from both sides. It is suitable for all ages including children and seniors and is one of the most unique experiences in India. Our team handles all transport and seating arrangements.
