Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do Malaysians need a visa to visit India?Yes — Malaysian passport holders require an India eVisa, which is applied for entirely online with no embassy visit required. It is typically approved within 72 hours and a 30-day tourist eVisa costs as little as USD $10. We assist all our Malaysian guests with the application at no extra charge.
-
What is the best time to visit Haridwar and Rishikesh from Malaysia? The best time is October to March — when the weather across the entire route is pleasantly cool and clear. Haridwar and Rishikesh are particularly beautiful in October–November (post-monsoon) and February–March (spring). Avoid June–September (monsoon season) and May–June (extreme heat in Delhi, Jaipur and Agra). Malaysian travellers find the October–March climate a refreshing contrast to Malaysia's tropical weather.
-
What is the Ganga Aarti ceremony and is it open to non-Hindus?The Ganga Aarti is a daily evening prayer ceremony performed at the Har Ki Pauri ghat, where Hindu priests offer fire, flowers and incense to the sacred River Ganges as the sun sets. It is a deeply spiritual and visually spectacular event — with hundreds of oil lamps floating on the river and thousands of devotees gathered at the ghats. It is completely open to visitors of all faiths and nationalities. Non-Hindus are warmly welcomed as observers and participants. Our guide will explain all the rituals and significance during the ceremony.

In Haridwar, good vegetarian dining is available throughout. Our guides are experienced with Muslim travellers' dietary requirements.
