Day-by-Day Itinerary

  1. ✈️ Arrive at Delhi International Airport (DEL) and be warmly welcomed by our company representative at the arrivals hall. Delhi is the national capital of India — a city where Mughal grandeur, colonial history and modern energy coexist in extraordinary ways. You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for rest or a short walk around nearby markets. Our representative will brief you on the tour ahead, including the early morning train departure for Shimla the following day.

    🌙 Overnight at Delhi hotel
  2. 🚆 Early in the morning, transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board one of India's finest express trains to Kalka — the nearest railhead to Shimla. Breakfast is served on the train. The 4-hour rail journey passes through beautiful North Indian villages, mustard fields, farmlands and the changing landscape as the plains give way to the foothills — a uniquely Indian travel experience. On arrival at Kalka, our driver will be waiting to transfer you by road to Shimla (approx. 3 hours uphill drive). Shimla was established by the British as their summer capital and remains one of India's most beloved hill stations — famous for its pine and deodar forests, colonial architecture and year-round cool climate. Check in at the hotel and enjoy the refreshing mountain air.

  3. 🏔 A beautiful day in the hills awaits. In the morning, drive to the charming village of Naldehra — home to one of India's oldest golf courses and surrounded by tall oak and rhododendron forests. The forest walks here are especially serene and ideal for honeymooners. Continue to Kufri — a popular hill resort offering panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and the opportunity to enjoy a horse ride through the mountain trails. In the winter season (December–February), Kufri receives snowfall and offers opportunities for snow play. In the evening, return to Shimla for a leisurely stroll on the famous Mall Road — the heart of Shimla, lined with colonial-era shops, bakeries, cafes and souvenir stalls. Browse local handicrafts, Himachali woolens and taste street food unique to the hills.

    🌙 Overnight at Shimla hotel
  4. 🍰 After a leisurely breakfast, take a moment to enjoy the sunrise over the mountain ranges — one of Shimla's most memorable sights. Check out from the hotel and drive down to Kalka Railway Station to board the express train back to Delhi. The 4-hour return journey through the foothills and plains brings you back to the capital in a relaxed manner. Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to your hotel for check-in and an overnight rest before the Golden Triangle circuit begins the following morning.

    🌙 Overnight at Delhi hotel
  5. 🏫 After a full breakfast, begin a guided Delhi city tour. Visit Raj Ghat — the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation. Admire Jama Masjid — the largest mosque in India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Drive past the imposing Red Fort (Lal Qila) — a UNESCO World Heritage Site of red sandstone built by the Mughals in 1638. Continue past India Gate, the war memorial arch, and drive along Rajpath to view Sansad Bhavan (Parliament of India) and Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's House). In the afternoon, depart for the Pink City of Jaipur — founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on 18 November 1727 and considered India's first planned city. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

    🌙 Overnight at Jaipur hotel
  6. 🏛 After breakfast, drive to Amber Fort — the majestic hilltop citadel that served as the capital of the Kachhwaha Rajput clan for six centuries before the founding of Jaipur. Ascend the fort on a traditional elephant ride — one of the most regal and memorable experiences in India. The fort's palaces, mirror halls (Sheesh Mahal) and garden courtyards are extraordinary examples of Rajput–Mughal architecture. On the return drive, stop at the picturesque Jal Mahal — the Water Palace floating serenely on Man Sagar Lake — for a photo stop. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace — a magnificent complex of palaces, museums and courtyards in the heart of the old Pink City — and the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II to track celestial movements. Before returning to the hotel, photograph the iconic Hawa Mahal — the Palace of Winds, a five-storied facade with 152 windows built in 1799 by Maharaja Pratap Singh.

    🌙 Overnight at Jaipur hotel
  7. 🏭 After breakfast, check out and drive to Agra — the city of the Mughals, located on the banks of the sacred River Yamuna. Agra served as Akbarabad, the capital of the Mughal Empire, under Emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan. En route, you may stop at the magnificent Fatehpur Sikri — the abandoned Mughal capital city built entirely in red sandstone — or the extraordinary Abhaneri Stepwells, one of India's most ancient and beautiful architectural marvels. Upon arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel. In the late afternoon, proceed for your Taj Mahal sunset visit — arguably the most romantic moment on any India tour. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. At sunset, the white marble glows in shades of gold and pink — a sight that will live with you forever.

    🌙 Overnight at Agra hotel
  8. ✈️ After a leisurely breakfast, visit Agra Fort — also known as the Red Fort of Agra and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This powerful Mughal fortification on the banks of the Yamuna houses palaces, audience halls and a mosque within its massive red sandstone walls, and offers views of the Taj Mahal from its towers. Spend some time browsing Agra's marble inlay craft shops — famous for intricate pietra dura work inspired by the Taj Mahal. In the afternoon, drive back to Delhi (approx. 220 km). Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to Delhi International Airport (DEL) in time for your onward departure flight. You return home with extraordinary memories of mountain serenity, royal palaces and one of the world's greatest monuments of love.

It is ideal for history and architecture lovers. Abhaneri Stepwells (Chand Baori) near Dausa are one of India's most spectacular ancient stepwells — a favourite of photographers and architecture enthusiasts — located on the Jaipur–Agra highway. Our guide can help you choose based on your interests and departure timing. Both are excellent options.
